STORAGE FAQs

How do I get started?
Choose the facility that’s most convenient for you and then rent your storage unit online. Use our Unit Size + Price Guide to choose a unit that’s just the right size.

Is there a commitment?
We offer month-to-month leases – no long term contracts and no commitment. Additionally our facilities offer discounts for long term storage, so if you know the amount of time you will be storing, you can save by prepaying your rent.

Will my lease automatically be renewed every month?
Yes. Your lease will automatically renew itself on the anniversary of your move-in date. You only need to notify us when you intend to vacate the space.

What are the sizes of units that you have?
Our standard sizes range from 5’x5’ to 10’x30’, with the majority being taller than 10’, for extra space and value (all dimensions are approximate). Use our Unit Size Guide to find the right amount of space for you.

Do you provide locks? Do you keep a key to my storage unit?
You can purchase a new, sealed lock at any of our locations; you keep the key to that lock, no one else has the key – just you. If you prefer to provide your own lock, you’re welcome to do so.

Do you have climate-controlled units?
Each All Right Storage facility has climate-controlled units, which are designed to maintain a set temperature range.

Are drive-up units available?
Our facilities offer the convenience of drive-up units. A drive-up unit has a roll-up door and its own loading area. Just drive up to it and load your belongings in or out.

What’s a roll-up door?
Roll-up doors are doors that roll up overhead for easy access. They’re usually wider than swing doors, so it’s easy to move things in and out.

What’s the difference between an indoor unit and an outdoor unit?
Indoor units are protected from the elements and have broad hallways and elevators.

Do you offer car parking?
All of our units are designed to store personal or business belongings; our facilities may offer spaces for parking vehicles. Please check with your All Right Storage facility to see if this feature is available.

How far in advance can I reserve a storage unit?
You can reserve / hold your unit up to 72 hours before your move-in date.

How far in advance can I rent a storage unit online?
You can rent your unit online up to 10 days before your move-in date. The rental period starts on the day you actually move in, but not later than 10 days after your chosen date.

Do I need to give you notice when I move out?
Yes. Ten days advanced notice is required prior moving out. On the day you move out, just remove your lock and let us know when you have vacated your unit, so you do not incur unnecessary charges. Full details on the vacating policy will be provided for you at the time you move in.

Do you prorate rent on my move out?
Billing is done on the anniversary of your move in date. Rent is prorated on transfers to other units only. Tenants must vacate the storage unit no later than the anniversary date in order to avoid being charged for the next month rent.

When can I access my storage unit?
All Right Storage facilities are open 7 days a week, but access hours may vary by location. Please select location for hours and features.

What's the difference between access hours and office hours?
During access hours, you can use your gate code to access your storage unit. During office hours, your Property Manager is available to assist in-person with customer service questions, moving supplies, and accepting rental payments.

If I rent a storage unit, can my spouse, kids or friend have access too?
When you rent from All Right Storage, you can allow access to other people (if you specify in writing) or restrict access only to yourself.

If I lose my key and/or access card, what do I do?
Call your All Right Storage Property Manager for assistance during regular business hours.
Do you require insurance on my stored goods?
You are responsible for the items you are storing at All Right Storage and you may acquire your own insurance for your stored items. You may be covered under an insurance policy you already have. Check with your insurance agent to be sure. Affordable storage insurance is available through Tenant One Direct Insurance Services at every All Right Storage facility.

What kind of documentation do I need to provide to rent a storage unit?
You will need to provide a valid, government-issued form of identification (e.g., driver’s license, state ID or passport).

Do you have handcarts or dollies I can use at your facilities?
Yes. You’re welcome to use our complimentary hand trucks, dollies and heavy duty platform trucks while you are at All Right Storage. A valid ID or credit card is required to be on hold until equipment is returned.

Can I rent in person or by phone?
We designed our web site to make renting storage fast and easy – but you’re also welcome to walk into our All Right Storage facility and rent in person. You may call us to ask questions or reserve by telephone as well.

Will you pay me a referral bonus fee if I send someone to you to lease a space?
Absolutely! Our many satisfied customers are a great source of new renters. Please contact the manager of your facility for details. There are no limits to the number of referral fees you may earn!

If I do not rent a storage unit, can I still purchase moving and packing supplies?
All Right Storage locations sell top-quality moving and packing supplies like boxes, tape, protective wrap, furniture covers, dish-packs, glass-packs and other moving accessories. You don’t need to be a storage customer to buy supplies. If you order supplies on-line, after you complete your order, you will need to choose the most convenient location to pick up your merchandise.

What is your policy on refunds?
With a valid receipt, we will accept unused or unopened items as returns up to 30 days from the date of purchase. Simply return your purchase to an All Right Storage location and we will process your credit refund right away or by check within 14 days.
